Eight ways we move ground
One outfit for the whole job, from the first cut to final grade. Every service below runs off the same yard in Telkwa, with the same crew and the same written quote.
Excavation
Digging, trenching, backfill and final grade. Small to large, we bring the machine that suits the job instead of the one that is free.
Demolition
Structures down, debris out, site left flat and ready. Residential tear-downs through to commercial structural work.
Sewer systems
Design and installation, from the first trench to a complete system that works right and keeps working.
Land clearing
Brush, stumps and timber off the lot to open up your property, reduce wildfire fuel and get the site ready for what is next.
Foundations
House pads and footings dug to spec, square, level and on grade.
Property development
Raw land into a serviced, buildable lot. Access, drainage, servicing and site layout handled as one job with one point of contact from start to finish.
Mulching
Clearing overgrowth and turning brush into usable mulch to clean up, maintain and open up your property.
Landscaping
From rough grade to finish grade, with topsoil, rock and drainage handled to bring your property together.
Most jobs are more than one of these
The list above is eight services because that is how people search for them, but very few jobs arrive as only one. A new house on an acreage is land clearing, then a driveway, then a foundation dig, then a septic system, then drainage and a final grade. Split across four contractors, the parts in between become nobody's problem.
Running it as one contract off one yard means the crew that cleared the building envelope is the crew that comes back for the finish grade, and already knows what is under the ground it is putting back together. It also means one written number for the whole scope instead of four quotes that each quietly assume somebody else is handling the awkward part.
Residential, commercial and acreage
Homeowners, builders, developers and local businesses, with the same machines and the same crew across all of it. A half day of yard grading and a serviced subdivision lot get the same site walk and the same written price up front.
If you are not sure which of the eight your job is, or whether it is really two of them, call and describe it. Sorting that out on the phone costs nothing and it is a good deal quicker than guessing from a list.
Questions we get asked
What area do you cover?
The Bulkley Valley, working from a yard at 5423 Morris Road in Telkwa. Telkwa, Smithers, Houston, Witset, Quick, Hazelton and Round Lake.
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. Small to large, we bring the machine that suits the job instead of the one that happens to be free, and that applies to a half day of yard grading as much as it does to a subdivision.
How does quoting work?
Call, or send the form on this page. We walk the site, then price the whole scope up front in writing, so the number you hear at the start is the number you pay at the end.
Can one contract cover several of these services?
That is how most of our work runs. A single job often takes in clearing, excavation, a septic system, drainage and final grade, and running it under one crew and one schedule is what stops the parts in between from being nobody's problem.
What are your hours?
Seven days, 7:00am to 6:00pm. Phone 250 643 2805, or email info@ultraexcavating.ca.
